Cinema Nahualli is looking for the most creative, breathtaking, inspirational stories from around the world. If you are a film maker, visual artist or simply curious about film and video and you have a visual testimony, documentary or fictional, this is your opportunity to show it in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
Selected Artworks will compete for an estattuette created in marble by the artist Melva Medina for the first 3 places. Also, honorific mention could be given by our Jury Members.*
We are happy to announce that submissions are open for our first edition. Selected artworks will be shown in the City of Merida, Yucatán, in Mexico. Submissions will be open from September 11 to December 1st and we have 4 different categories:



Selección Yucatán
Short Film
We open the invitation to film makers and visual artists from around the world whose projects portrait the traditions and cultural life on the mayan territory.
We are looking for the most creative and honest works to become part of the Official Selection, it can be documentary, fictional, experimental films, video art, music videos, film essay, but the main theme must be close to the life and culture of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Selección Mexicana
Short Film
This category is for Mexican film makers and visual artists. You are welcome to submit as much films as you want as long as they portrait a Mexican reality.

Selección Internacional
Short Film
Film Makers and Content Creators from around the world are welcome to submit their films to be part of the festival with a special category dedicated to international storytellers.

International Feature Films
We are looking for World Premieres or Mexican Premiere to be screen at Nahualli Gallery during the days of The Festival
